The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 559 - 559 Greedy goblin

“Uh, your little brother is so unreliable,” said Yeoh Jun when a small packet of butterscotch candy appeared in front of him.

Yeoh Jun pulled up his sunglasses and took it only for two more hands to appear in front of Yi Chen. He had no choice but to take out more of it.

“Why aren’t you helping in the kitchen?” asked grandpa Lin looking at these four sitting comfortably.

“I got kicked out,” said Yi Zhen while raising his hand.

“Why am I not surprised? And you?” he asked Yi Chen and he had the same answer.

“I got kicked out too.”

Grandpa Lin looked at his forehead seeming a little confused. Was this another form of declaring one’s love or something?

“What happened to your forehead? Is this a new kink or something?”

.....

Yi Chen, “...”

“He probably slept first and Han Han drew on him. We used to do that all the time in high school when we were hanging out. Only that it wasn’t a love declaration but a crooked penis,” said Yeoh Jun while laughing.

“We used to draw a moustache and glasses,” said Yi Feng who had already removed his using the rubbing alcohol he got from his boyfriend who he had been hiding from.

Doctor Kiet grabbed his wrist and pulled him over making him sit on his lap. Let’s just say Kiet had no shame at all. He didn’t care if grandpa Lin was there and grandp Lin didnt seem to mind at all.

Yi Feng winced a little but he didn’t struggle. His chrysanthemum blossomed and bloomed last night till he couldn’t think straight.

“How about we visit the greenhouse?” asked Grandpa Lin and doctor Kiet asked,

“Is there food?”

“Yeah, let’s go. There are fruits and veg-,” replied grandpa Lin only for the emperor of Onyx federation to dash in the direction of the greenhouse like he had been starving for a year. In his defence, one of the side effects of playing too much was extreme hunger.

“AH-Zhen, go make sure he doesn’t eat your Mother in law’s peaches otherwise we will all sleep outside,” he said and the former Marshal had to run after him before it was too late.

Well, was it too late? Yes, yes most definitely. She had been trying to grow this tree for a while and this was her third try. This time it didn’t die and she had finally got some peaches growing and now they had just let the goblin inside the garden.

She was like God when it came to that apple tree and just like God who threw them out, she was probably going to ban her in-law on this planet.

When Yi Zhen got there this man was biting through the third one. “Your majesty stop just stop,” said Yi Zhen and Yeoh Jun was confused.

“Please, step... step away from the peach tree... nice and slowly. Do not and I repeat... don’t touch another peach,” he said and Yeoh Jun glanced at the rare red fleshed peaches and said,

“What? It’s just a peach.”

As soon as he said that grandpa Lin and the others arrived and the old man who was always calm suddenly panicked.

“Damn it, how did you not see the sign? It’s right there,” said Grandpa Lin pointing at the little man holding a peach with his head tilted like he was about to eat it and a red circle with a red line slit across the picture clearly indicating that one shouldn’t eat them.

If that wasn’t enough there were words written in bold and a not so hard to miss red colour. Grandpa Lin even forgot for moment that he was talking to the emperor of the Onyx federation.

“Just no one mention it... The trick is to deny deny deny if she asks. You can eat anything else just not the peaches,” he said and everybody nodded their heads in understanding.

After padding their stomachs with fruit they casually strolled back to the house only to find Lin Ruoxi ordering her little brother around while he was setting the table.

“You know I am a grown man, right? You can’t be bullying me like this,” he complained but Lin Ruoxi who had been tossed and turned last night because of him didn’t spare him.

“Next time you will stay out of my business. That fork is crooked, fix it,” she said only for her father to pat her shoulder while asking,

“Why are you so fierce?”

Lin Ruoxi’s brows furrowed when she smelt the aroma of something very sweet. “Ask him what he did first... Is that? Did you guys eat mum’s peaches?”

Yeoh Jun, “...”

Everybody, “...”

‘Damn, was she a sniffer dog in her past life?’ thought Yeoh Jun smelling his breath.

“Oh hoho someone ate mum’s peaches. You are so dead. All of you,” she said only for grandma Lin to walk out holding a casserole dish.

“Ru-er, why are you speaking of such inauspicious words on a happy occasion?” she reprimanded her but Lin Ruoxi didn’t snitch. She just smiled at them knowing fully well that her mother would eventually find out.

“Mm something smells sweet like like... peaches,” said grandma Lin. Because of the concoctions she mixed herself she had a keen sense of smell and knew what that scent was and where it was coming from.

“I I uh,” said Yeoh Jun only for Grandpa Lin to interject,

“It’s his new shampoo. It smells really good right?”

“What shampoo? He and Zi Han share that tear-free shampoo. It’s berry blast, not peach,” said Zi Xingxi unknowingly selling out her husband who ate the peaches despite the warning not to.

Everyone, “...”

Yeoh Jun, “I am so dead. At least let me eat first.”

“You ate my peaches in the greenhouse didn’t you?” said grandma Lin almost terrifying Yeoh Jun half to death. Grandma Lin reminded him of his mother. He could never lie in front of her. Even when she was dead he couldn’t lie in front of her portrait.

“I am so sorry,” he said his head lowered like a guilty golden retriever after getting into trouble.

Zi Xingxi, “...”

“You ate... oh god,” she said feeling bad. She should have fed him, now he had caused trouble.
