The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 92

“Where do I even begin? He drives like a maniac, can’t tell the difference between a laser cannon and a laser blaster. He almost shot me twice. I am seriously starting to think he wanted to kill me for inheritance,” he exaggeratedly said spouting more nonsense than facts.

Zi Xingxi chuckled as she sat down with her legs crossed in an easy pose. “Inheritance hahaha..... That kid doesn’t give a damn about money. Guns and mechs, however.... that’s an entirely different story,” she said enjoying this rare moment of her father whining. Who would have thought Zi Han had inherited her talent of rattling Zi Feiji.

She got up and said, “I think you need this session more than I do.” Zi Xingxi hung her towel on Zi Feiji’s shoulder before walking out.

“Master Zi, please take care of your body. At your age it’s easy to AH!” said Chronos through the floating screen before Zi Feiji glared fiercely at it making it yelp in fright. It seemed it had forgotten who the true boss was around here.

It swiftly disconnected from the floating display and ran off to the training room system.

Zi Xingxi entered the training room and found her cub in his new mech hanging upside down on a weight lifting bar for mechs like a bat.

“I heard you made your grandpa cry?” she said with her hand on her hip.

Zi Han who had been falsely accused jumped down from the weight lifting bar and performed a perfect double flip before landing on the ground like a hero in the Avengers.

.....

As his mech stood tall and strong in the middle of the training room he suddenly looked like he was showing off. Zi Xingxi smirked watching her son like this. He was as smug as his father was.

The man wouldn’t hesitate to show off Igneous, the last of the three calamities, when they were in military school. The funny thing was that whenever he summoned his mech he would look her in the eyes as though telling her that this was all for her.

Unfortunately for him, at that time Zi Xingxi only thought it was out of pure provocation. Her blood would seethe ready to beat down the opponent. She only found out later that he was trying to get her attention.

When it comes to her son, this was only his first mech and he was already acting smug. How typical.

“Mum, does it suit me? I think I look rather dashing. What do you think?” he said flexing the mech’s muscles like a bodybuilder.

Zi Xingxi chuckled before saying, “You disrespected your grandpa so naturally, you have to pay the price,” before Chronos appeared and engulfed her body. Zi Xingxi wasn’t like her father.

She knew Zi Han’s limits hence she was especially ruthless. Zi Feiji’s mistake was that he held back too much thus his grandson bullied him till he ran out of there.

By the time Zi Xingxi was done with him Zi Han was crying tears of blood. He regretted it so much that he wanted to crawl out of the training room and when he did his mech was dragged back by the legs.

Zi Feiji who was watching from the control room felt much better. His daughter had avenged him. Old Lu on the other end felt sorry for the young sir, especially after that drop kick that struck Zi Han’s mech and sent him flying straight into the wall.

Chronos was so excited that it couldn’t shut up. It was dying to help Zi Han train and now that it had the chance to participate in this one-sided beatdown it was like a crazy football fan jeering in excitement.

Zi Han who was aching all over raised his head when he heard the sound of a laser cannon being activated. He was met by the muzzle of a fired-up laser cannon and Chronos looking down at him.

Chronos’ cockpit opened and Zi Xingxi appeared with a sly smile. “Too much?” she asked, “if it is I can dial it down.”

Zi Han smiled slyly his eyes as cunning as a fox’s. “How will I become the best if we dial back on the training?” he said and before Zi Xingxi knew it Chronos’ legs were swept. She only managed to escape because her perception was especially good. She retracted the laser cannon and took a step back.

Zi Han didn’t waste any time. As though injected with chicken blood he launched an offensive strike taking Zi Xingxi by surprise. Like a rabid dog, he attacked relentlessly. Time and time again he was put in his place. By the time Zi Xingxi was done with him, he could barely lift a finger.

Thirty minutes in and Zi Feiji couldn’t watch anymore. His grandson just wouldn’t yield. It was as though he had inherited his mother’s stubborn nature and his father’s tenacity. In his books, anyone who could pursue his daughter for that long was undoubtedly tenacious and worthy of his respect.

“They are both crazy..... how can they possibly be related to me?” said Zi Feiji shaking his head with a dispirited look. Ten seconds later he raised his head only to realize that Old Lu and the housekeeper robot were looking at him.

The look wasn’t that of sympathy but an ‘are you fucking serious’ look. “What?” he asked but they silently looked away.

This man right here was the craziest of the three. It’s just that he had calmed down with age but when he was young he showed people flames. It seemed he had forgotten how much trouble he was growing up.

Zi Han only yield when he had exhausted his mental power after pushing it beyond his limits. After the beat down all his aggression was wiped clean and that spoilt side of his came out.

He refused to get off the floor saying his mother should carry him out. He also claimed that this was the only way he was leaving the training room. Zi Xingxi who couldn’t resist those tiny whimpers almost agreed when her father seriously reprimanded Zi Han telling him to get up.

Unfortunately, that didn’t work. It only resulted in Zi Han changing his target to his dearest grandpa. Zi Han wore his grandfather out thus in the end he got what he wanted. He was carried on his grandfather’s back out of that training room and Zi Xingxi took a picture of this moment. This appeared simple but it was a treasured memory they could look back at in the future.
